Walter Russell: Home Study Course In Cosmic Consciousness
Walter Russell was an accomplished sculptor, painter and philosopher who believed that every man has consummate genius within him.
He became known as a natural philosopher and for his unified theory in physics and cosmogony.
He posited that the universe was founded on a unifying principle of rhythmic balanced interchange. This theory is laid out primarily in his books The Secret of Light and The Message of the Divine Iliad.
Russell was a polymath and also proficient in architecture, music, business and cosmology.
He became a professor at the institution he founded with his wife, the University of Science and Philosophy.
Walter Russell: Home Study Courses – Introduction
The purpose of these lessons is twofold. First, and paramount, is to prepare the layperson who desires personal power and progress through achievement in personal creative expression to attain that end by full understanding of the Cause of all the Effects he produces in order that he may command those effects to his obedience.
With cosmic knowledge as a foundation upon which he can firmly stand to face every problem of his daily life, whether social, domestic, business, health, family, friendships, professional or otherwise, he can meet all problems with a clarity of vision to conquer them with intelligent action and decision instead of complexing his problems because of his inability to fully comprehend their cause.
The secondary purpose is to so thoroughly define and explain this universal illusion, which seems so real to the human senses, and proves to the satisfaction of the most exacting scientists that the entire electric wave universe is but a cosmic cinema picturing a cosmic idea of cause and effect with cosmic projection cameras called wave fields of light. These imaginary cosmic projection cameras of light wave fields are as describable and definable mechanically as the projection machines of their earthly counterparts are describable and definable.
The cosmic cinema is a glorious manifestation of the imaginary thought processes of Gods Mind, but the projected light images of Gods imagining, which seem to move and have life of being in themselves, are but electrically-sensed thought forms of thought imaginings that but constitute a mirage of the reality which they but simulate. This fact will gradually be clarified as these chapters unfold, as will Gods reason for limiting the senses of men in order that he should believe the simulation to be reality.
The solution of the seemingly unfathomable mystery of Creator and Creation fulfills a prophecy made by Sir Oliver Lodge who said, in effect, that if in the coming centuries the great cosmic secret was ever revealed to man, its discovery would not come from the trained scientific Mind but would be the supreme vision of some poet, painter, philosopher, or saint who could see the universe as a whole.
It is my hope that every reader will so clearly comprehend each part of this whole picture of Gods cosmic plan that he or she will envision and comprehend the many parts as One Whole. No One-Way Universe
The fundamental cosmogony of the then-accepted science, which so amazed me, was what might be termed a transient, discontinuous, unbalanced, one-way universe, which had a beginning eons ago, by the unexplained and unexplainable formation of a tremendous flaming mass of heat, which is slowly radiating away by splitting into smaller masses, which expand within themselves and from each other until they eventually end in heat death.
Out of this unnatural theory came the first and second laws of thermodynamics that have no validity whatsoever, for the premise that heat is energy, upon which they are founded has no validity. The resultant one-way universe allowed for no compensating generation to counterbalance its radiation, despite the accepted law of equal and opposite action and reaction. Energy cannot run up hill, science says, it can only run down hill. Cause And Effect
The law of cause and effect always works. When anything goes wrong with you or with the world, you are or humanity in general is responsible, not God. …God doing Gods part is what Creation or the outworking of cosmic law means. Therefore, instead of asking God to fulfill Gods part, attain knowledge of cosmic law so that you can harmoniously work with God to fulfill your desires. Anything that is wrong with you is of your own making; therefore, gain knowledge of the cause and of cosmic law.
People who ask God for fulfillment of their desires forget that material things are created only through two-way action. Material things are not created by rubbing an Aladdin lamp or through wishful thinking. The Evil
The first and most conspicuous effect of Illumination into full Cosmic Consciousness is ones awareness of the utter absence of evil, sin, or shame. There is no thought of such an unbalanced condition while in the one ecstatic condition of perfect balance, which the Light of love is.
That which Man calls evil, sin, or shame or any of its attributes, such as anger, jealousy, worry, fear, cruelty, lust, or the greeds which lead to murders and wars are unbalanced conditions created by Man who has not yet learned the law of love, which demands equal interchange between all opposite conditions in all human relations.
Man, himself, has manufactured evil, sin, and shame because of the impossibility of keeping himself in balance due to his greeds, which impel him to take what he wants without giving in order to be regiven. There is no such thing in Nature as evil, sin, or shame. Nature is never unbalanced. The heavens give light and rains to earth and earth regives equally of her forests, crops, and vapors that replenish the heavens.

Sex Is Perpetual In All Things
Mankind has thought of sex in terms of a relation between the opposite sexes in organic living systems, never for a moment including sex relations in the mineral kingdom, in hot suns, or the ice caps of the poles of planets. We used such terms as cohabitation and sex relation as though the sex relation is entirely separate and apart from other relations, and as though its reproductive effect is limited to living things that die or decay.
From now on, sex will be regarded in our new perspective as being expressed continuously and perpetually in all things. Instead of thinking in terms of cohabitation and human sexual relationships, sex should be thought of as the interchange between pairs of oppositely unbalanced conditions for the purpose of balancing these conditions in every effect of motion in the entire universe. All Motion is Sex Motion
All motion is sex motion, for all motion has but one purpose, which is to divide the balance of the indivisible universal equilibrium into pairs of oppositely unbalanced conditions, which perpetually seek balance in each opposite mate for the purpose of repeating the divided sex condition.
At first, this concept may be difficult to accept without reservations. I can hear the questions: Do we apply this concept of sex to minerals, to the motions of work in a factory, or to the smelting of metals? What is Art?
What makes someone a master artist is not technical ability per se, but rather the soul qualities that reflect the Soul of Cosmic Mind. The Soul alone can give out love. Effects Are Everywhere
Every creating unit in the entire universe is an extension of every other unit. That being factually so, every action by anybody anywhere affects everybody by its reaction everywhere.
You cannot extend a gift to any individual anywhere without extending it everywhere. For example, if you give your son a thousand dollars, it will immediately begin to be extended throughout the whole human race.
