A Spirit Converses On Reincarnation From The Other Side
by Mrs. Kelway-Bamber
The following are transmissions as given (in 1916) to his mother from the other side from Claude who had passed recently, a casualty of World War I.
Claude (His Perspective From The Other Side) On Reincarnation
You want to know how it is I now believe in reincarnation, and say that other spirits you find do not? Well, darling, we are still very far from ultimate truth, and people here vary in their opinions and ideas just as they did on earth. We are still learning, Mum; we have only gone a little farther along the road of experience, and have by no means reached the end of the journey. Yes, there is a Heaven, but it is a long way off and has yet to be earned; even our very bodies, which are still fairly material [less refined], will have to become more refined before we are fitted for that. Out Of Body Visit To The Other Side
by John G. Parry
Either I dreamed this story, or, as mystics might say I’d been through a psychic experience. To prevent any argument, let’s say I dreamed that I died in my sleep.
I, the ego, soul, or astral body, call it what you will, came out of its carnal covering and looked down upon its physical counterpart lying in bed apparently not breathing. This spirit-entity, identified as myself, experienced a feeling of great freedom; mixed with the relief one would sense when throwing away an old, stained, threadbare suit of clothes. My next thought was: “So I’m dead … now what?” There was not the slightest feeling of sorrow at being suddenly in a dimension entirely new to me. But there was some loneliness; which, at the moment, I attributed to a desire to mix with the living. (more…)

A Preacher’s Reflection In The Afterlife
by Anthony Borgia
The spirit communicator of this book was known on earth as Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson, a son of Edward White Benson, former Archbishop of Canterbury, and he was at the height of his renown, both as preacher and author, when I first met him many years ago.
After he had passed from this life, I many times wondered as to his welfare. Through a spirit friend I was told that he was well and prospering, and that in time I should hear from him directly.
Such eventually proved to be the case, and there commenced a series of scripts given by him, the first of which, “Life in the World Unseen”, gave an account in some detail of his actual passing. He recounted how, at the close of his earthly life, he was met by a former colleague named Edwin, and taken by him to the spirit world, where his home awaited him, a counterpart of his house on earth. After a brief rest he commenced his explorations, under Edwin’s guidance, of the land of his new life. During the course of their rambles they met a young girl of great charm, named Ruth, also a newcomer to the spirit world, who joined them, and the three have been together ever since, closely associated in work and pleasure. Beauty Eternal In The Afterlife
by Anthony Borgia
Eternity is a word that implies so much but in reality conveys so little to the average earthly mind.
The earth dweller would say, in effect, that eternity is like immortality, you cannot prove it. How can it possibly be proved that a certain state of existence, namely, that of the spirit world, will continue forever, without end, to employ perhaps a more emphatic term. Just so. It is a difficulty that we all appreciate in the spirit world. And I would hasten to say that I am not going to attempt to prove it!
But I can do this. I can set before you one or two considerations that will serve to draw your mind towards the major differences between your incarnate state of existence upon earth and our discarnate state of existence in the spirit world. And in doing so there may emerge just a faint glimmering of what the word eternity can suggest. (more…)

In The Spirit World – Revealed As We Truly Are
by Anthony Borgia
It has been remarked that some of us who come to the earth [from the spirit world] to speak to our friends, seem to have been altered, some of us only slightly, others almost beyond recognition except by such certain evidence as we give of our identity. How is it that we have so changed, for the better, it might be observed?
This apparent transformation of character is explainable by the fact that upon earth there are few people who really show themselves to the world as they truly are.
In ancient days upon earth, folk were in general much simpler in their tastes and their habits and behavior than they are now. Then they were not afraid to speak their inmost thoughts more openly to one another, provided those thoughts were not of too violent a religious or political nature. People were in many respects more neighborly in those days when life was simpler. But in these times of greater ‘civilization’, when the world has become more sophisticated, when people seem less reliant upon each other, dwellers upon earth have withdrawn within themselves until it is difficult to form any very reliable opinion upon the true character of anyone. People are more shy of expressing themselves openly. (more…)

Unraveling The Mysteries of Life After Death
by George W. Meek
“Finding myself to exist in the world, I believe I shall in some shape or other always exist; and, with all the inconveniences human life is liable to, I shall not object to a new edition of mine, hoping, however, that the errata of the last may be corrected.” – Benjamin Franklin
The material that follows is possible only because of the inquisitive minds of dedicated researchers during the past century. First I honor the most dedicated of the serious (and honest) deep-trance mediums, primarily in England, Scotland, Brazil, the United States, Canada, Ireland, Italy, and South Africa. Second, I acknowledge the work of thousands of persons traditionally known as “sitters,” whose presence seems to provide subtle energies that facilitate the best contacts with communicators from other levels of life. The Self Does Not Die
by Rudolf H. Smit, Titus Rivas, Anny Dirven
From the perspective of parapsychology, or psychic research, one feature is probably most responsible for near-death experiences (NDEs) coming to public attention as a phenomenon with possible paranormal aspects: specific impressions of the material world that near-death experiencers (NDErs) reportedly perceived from a location outside their physical bodies.
Many stories have been published about NDEs in which experiencers had the feeling that they left their bodies and perceived the material world from a location apart from their bodies. During this out-of-body (OB) aspect of the NDE, the NDEr typically perceived his or her own body as well as what was happening in the surroundings in which that body lay and sometimes physical locations away from the body, apparently without using the physical senses—the very definition of extrasensory perception. Later, it turned out that what the experiencer saw and heard during the OB aspect corresponded exactly with the determinable facts, meaning that the perceptions were verified as accurate, or veridical. Within the professional literature about NDEs, these perceptions are usually considered to be a subcategory of “AVPs”–that is, apparently nonphysical veridical perceptions, a term coined by Jan Holden (2009). The verification can range from weak (verified by the experiencer alone) to strong (verified by a researcher in the course of a study), but the accuracy is verified nonetheless. These types of experiences are probably what most people think of regarding the subject of “paranormal experiences during an NDE.” (more…)

The Spiral – A Principle Of Creative Science
by George Vale Owen
This volume (what follows is a short excerpt) contains a series of communications from beyond the veil, received and written down by the Rev. G. Vale Owen, Vicar of Oxford, Lancashire.
It should be clearly understood that these messages, while complete in themselves, deal chiefly with the “Sphere of Light” nearest to the earth in which the Vicar’s mother, who is the principal communicator, states that she dwells, and that her impressions are chiefly individual to herself and are thus those of a newcomer and learner whose experiences are limited to a restricted area. Wider regions and greater heights and depths are explored, the interrelation of this and the afterlife is more fully explained, and both narrative and exposition of aims and principles are more vigorous, clear and comprehensive in succeeding messages, contained in other volumes of the series which follow this. ~ H. W. Engholm (more…)

The Cobbler
by George Vale Owen
A cobbler who earned just enough to pay his dues and had naught over when his burial fees were paid came over here [after death] many years ago, as you say it. He was received soberly by a small group of friends, and was well content that they had borne him so much in mind as to come so far as to earth to show him his way to the sphere where he should go. It was one of those near earth, not a high one, and, as I say, he was well content. For there he found peace after much toil and weariness and his battle with poverty, and leisure to go and see the various interesting sights and places of that sphere. To him it was Heaven indeed, and all were kind to him, and he was very happy in their company. (more…)

The Journey Of The Soul
by Emma Ruder Drollinger
This Marvelous Revelation has not been gathered from any source on this earth realm. This knowledge and wisdom has been handed down to me from a Divine Source embracing the actual experiences of my life since a child of twelve. The Divine Intelligences who have imparted this knowledge and wisdom to me are now dwellers of the Seventh Heavenly Zone and the Celestial Divine Kingdoms, and from one of the Masters who is serving in the capacity as a guardian angel. A guardian angel is one who has overcome worlds. Every soul, no matter in what scale of life he may be, is accompanied through this expression of life and through the Ethereal World by a guardian angel. This divine being never makes himself known until YOU are ready for his wisdom or on some special occasion when you are in desperate need or distress and cry out for guidance and help. It is this Divine Being whose presence you will feel or whose voice you will hear. I know many who have had these experiences. There are those on the earth realm today who are so calloused – so dense or materially minded that they could not perceive these facts – and there are thousands who have had sufficient revelations to realize that they are never alone and that some unknown divine force is ever guiding or leading the way when we lift our minds above the material vibrations and desire divine guidance. No one can read these pages and not feel and realize the great purpose of this life – and that activity is a natural law displayed throughout the universe. If we fail to see the purpose of this expression of life, we must fulfill the requirements in the lower zones of the ethereal world. (more…)

Energy Transmutation In The Afterlife
by George Vale Owen
Tuesday, December 2, 1913
DEAR friend and ward, I will tonight speak to you of certain matters which connect with the question of transmutation of energy. Energy, as I now employ the word, is to be understood as that intermediary which couples up the motion of will with the effect as displayed to the minds of men. We here are trained to this end that we may, by the motion of our wills, transmit, by what we may call vibration, our thoughts through the intervening spheres, or states, into the earth plane. It is this movement in vibration which I call energy.
Now, you must understand that in using earth-phrasing I am employing a medium which is not adequate to express, either exactly or fully, the science of these spheres and realms. It is necessary, therefore, that I qualify my terms, and when I use the term vibration I do not speak merely of oscillation to and fro alone, but of movements which are sometimes elliptical, sometimes spiral, and sometimes a combination of these and other qualities. On Life’s Philosophy From The Other Side ~ Part II
by Carl Wickland
The philosophy of life and descriptions of conditions in the higher realms have been given by spirits who have attained enlightenment and are desirous of helping humanity to an understanding of the spiritual laws.
Because of their simplicity of life and religion and their knowledge of the laws of Nature, the American Indians are seldom bound in spirit after leaving the earth plane, and are often sent, as was Silver Star, Mrs. Wickland’s Indian guide, to guard sensitive mortals [herself and others who communicate through her]. Touching The Light Beyond – Near Death Experiences
by Raymond Moody
I was terribly ill and near death with heart problems at the same time that my sister was near death in another part of the same hospital with a diabetic coma. I left my body and went into the corner of my room, where I watched them work on me down below.
Suddenly, I found myself in conversation with my sister, who was up there with me. I was very attached to her, and we were having a great conversation about what was going on down there when she began to move away from me. I tried to go with her but she kept telling me to stay where I was. “It’s not your time,” she said. “You can’t go with me because it’s not your time.” Then she just began to recede off into the distance through a tunnel while I was left there alone. There Is Life In The Afterlife
by Gladys Osborne Leonard
After having made several excursions into the Astral World during sleep, and accomplished other short-distance exteriorizations while awake, there came to me the crowning adventure–the most convincing and satisfying experience of my whole life.
Never in my wildest dreams had I dared to expect such a wonderful revelation of that world which lies beyond the normal sight and hearing of our earthly existence. Ever since my husband’s death in February, 1935, I had prayed daily, morning and evening, that I might be allowed someday, to visit the place, locality, condition–call it what you will–in which my husband now dwelt, worked, and lived his life apart from me. Yes, “apart” is the word one is compelled to use when referring to separation by death in the “bodily” sense. No matter how great one’s belief in the Unseen World may be, the absence of constant objective evidence of the dear one’s presence is frequently a great strain on even the staunchest faith. (more…)

I Found Life Beyond Death
by a practicing psychiatrist
This astonishing survival story is told by an eminent physician who “died” when he was 19 years old.
In 1942 my plans were all set. I was to be the youngest doctor ever to be graduated from the Medical College of Virginia. I would graduate at 19 with a Bachelor of Science degree and in a rushed-up program for World War II, by going to classes summer and winter, I would receive my medical doctorate degree by the time I was 22 years old.
But man proposes and God disposes.
My father, who was past draft age, was called into service to be in charge of all the storage of fuel for the D-Day invasion of Normandy and I could not see sitting out on the sidelines. I volunteered for active duty and after completing the work for my B.S. Degree at the University of Richmond, all except for six hours of German, I was sent down to the only place in the world where I have marched in mud up to my knees and still had dust blowing in my face – Camp Barkeley, 11 miles southwest of Abilene, Tex.
