“Men would live very peacefully if these two words – my and yours – were taken away,” said Anaxagoras of Clazomenae, a lesser known but important pre-Socratic thinker. Two words from his quote- ‘my’ and ‘yours’ form the epicentre of most evils to date, including greed, hatred, jealousy and conflict that can sometimes assume dangerous proportions.

Anaxagoras’ aphorism was not based on conflicts or jealousy and other inherent emotions of humans. Instead, his axioms revolved around the theory that everything in this world was composed of similar elements or ingredients, that nothing was large or small. Everything in the world was a part of the greater cosmos, which collectively controlled the minds of all humans. By this corollary, a person could own or lose nothing. Hence, claiming to own an object or saying it belongs to someone else, was wrong, Anaxagoras propounded. Although Christmas is a pagan holiday, at this time, it is desirable to review one’s status in this world without end.

One can get lost in the materialism or one can sit still a moment and ponder some of the age old questions that have plagued man for eons of time and the importance of answering those questions.

To a scientist, it is still a question as to whether we even have a soul or not. Have you considered this question and if so have you taken definitive action to find an answer?

It is of the utmost importance, more important than celebrating a pagan holiday, more important then wrapping gifts and more important than lighting candles or any other activity you care to name. True Christmas spirit is acknowledging that we have the Christ light within us and honoring that Christ light by nurturing it with the knowledge and true understanding of its eternal nature. To do this, we must understand what God is. The God around and about us and within us.

That, to me, is the true celebration of Christmas. The acknowledgment and the understanding of the Christ light within us. It is not out there in the shopping centers; it is not in the Christmas tree or under it. It is within ourselves. It is that eternal part of us that must grow and if we are to live eternally than we must grow with it.

So take the time to question and understand this Christ light which is our higher self, our god self. Learn to understand it, however you chose, scientifically, philosophically, spiritually but learn to understand it. It is your innate eternal divine source, and as part of this divine source, you are not only entitled to but obligated to the understanding of its perfected nature for it is who you truly are.

Be inspired, not as a mechanical man that goes through the usual repetitious pattern of Christmas custom but as a spiritual man learning to understand the true Christ light within you and that there is no separation between you and God source.

Think of this as you pass through these Christmas holidays once more and again. Christmas is just temporary. Finding the true kingdom of heaven within is eternal.

“Not having had any jobs for several weeks I spent most of the morning trying to drum up work, phoning my agent making a list of clients to contact and thinking about ways of covering the financial shortfall. I was concerned, but only superficially so. I finally dropped the worries like an unnecessary distraction. Ever since getting out of bed in the morning I had been carried by a persistent joy. I felt this was what I should be paying attention to and it made everything else appear superficial. Now, as soon as I focused on this undercurrent of joy, it blossomed and filled me with firm knowing and reassurance that everything was OK as it was. It also ignited in me a powerful urge to find its source.

I took my wife to her counselling job and then went to the supermarket to do some shopping. Standing in the queue at the checkout I felt the urge to get home quickly and enter my meditation room. As soon as I felt my impatience an inner voice told me to relax and let go. At that moment everything became still around me. All urges and needs dissipated. I felt an incredible calm, as if I had been taken out of time and placed into a no-time zone, where this concept of need no longer existed. I noticed that all the people in the queue in front of me appeared to have been similarly taken out of their time zones. They were chatting to each other and the cashier was friendly and conversed with the customers as if they were old friends. Suddenly I felt a powerful sense of belonging and incredibly privileged to be part of this human community around me. Here we all were, living in the moment, paying for our goods and being part of an intangible yet very present consciousness. Every person appeared filled to the brim with this present awareness. I felt an overwhelming love for everyone and tried to contain the deep rapture I felt rising within, which had been building up all morning. I was on the verge of letting it overwhelm me and the only way I could stop it was by opening the heart gates and letting the energy flow into the environment around me. (more…)

You can imagine my chagrin when I learned earth scientists are expressing the possibility that the bright spots on Ceres are just magnesium sulphate or what is more commonly referred to as Epsom salt. The main stream media is taking this as the gospel truth when in fact scientists are saying this is ONLY a possibility. The question is, “Have you ever seen Epsom salts, after you’ve turned off the lights, glow in the dark?
