Of Fishermen
Two thousand years ago a man walked upon the shore of an inland sea
Tall and of red beard and hair, and of noble bearing;
Yet there was much more than this which set Him apart from all others.

Speak To Us Of Giving
by Kahlil Gibran
THEN said a rich man, Speak to us of Giving.
And he answered:
You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the over-prudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?
Is not dread of thirst when your well is full, the thirst that is unquenchable?
There are those who give little of the much which they have – and they give it for recognition and their hidden desire makes their gifts unwholesome. (more…)

Reflections
Transcendent is this power within,
that holds aloft my soul
And in a clime so far removed from earthly things.
My soul does sing rejoicing in the things
which make the Heavens

Image Of God’s Virtue
It has been said that God has created thee in His own image
Yet it is surely not of these things of the flesh
Neither of the body nor its limbs.

Elixir Of Life
Reach out dear heart, for there within thy mind,
you have the power to touch and hold
Reach out dear love your arms made strong
with understanding for a better way
Your limbs refreshed with this elixir of the heavenly way.

The Place
Come not to the place where ye can say
That I am this or that, nor shall I doeth much;
And mighty are the deeds of my doing.

Moonlight Madonna
My madonna of the moonlit skies ~
She sails across the skies, but not upon the horn of moon
Her waxen wane is but the yellow of her hair
Its windswept waves to set the sea advancing.

Christ Personified
To each man is promised a personal Savior
And so it must be that in the hour and need
of each man that he will see his Jesus
For surely is not Jesus all of the things
which each man desires the most?
Is not the Son of God a part of each and every one?

Song Of Creation
For it may be that you come into the forest
That you will see about you the mightiness of the great oaks,
or the tallness of the pine trees ~
Or that you will cast your eye upon the beauty of many others
of those splendid trees which groweth in the forest;

Newfound Spring
It was April when I came to earth, and a
gentle rain was falling
And the air was filled with the promise of
Spring – and so I waited until May
Then my eyes feasted with the beauty of
fresh flowers and the multitude
of growing things.

Mighty God
Thou must stand upon the seashore, and
look with wandering eye
And gaze upon the waves and of their
strength and of their mightiness
That they fall upon the sands, still they
ever must recede back unto the place
from whence they sprang.
Yet we may wonder at the
mightiness of all this. (more…)

Stairway To the Stars
He who walks the path of Truth
must lose himself a thousand times.
For in the losing of his way
does he find within himself
The thing he seeks most earnestly.
