Astral Visit To The Hidden Gold Mines Of Yellowstone
by Godfre Ray King
SEVEN days passed—it was then the first week in September. On the evening of the eighth day, I sat contemplating Life and its infinite expressions, when my thought turned naturally to Saint Germain. Immediately—an overwhelming love went out to him in deep gratitude for all I had been privileged to experience—through his assistance and Light.
A feeling as of a “Presence” in the room began to come over me like a breath and looking up suddenly—there he stood smiling and radiant, the very “Presence of Divinity.”
“My son,” he said, “am I so unexpected a visitor—that I surprise you? Surely, you know quite well that—when thinking of me—you are in contact with me, and when I think of you—I am with you. In meditation, your attention was upon me and so—I appear. Is that not according to the Law? Then, why not accept it—as natural? What one thinks upon—he draws unto himself.
“Allow me to suggest that you train yourself—never to be surprised, disappointed, or your feelings hurt under any circumstances—for perfect self-control—of all the forces within you at all times—is Mastery—and that is the reward for those who tread the pathway of ‘Light’ and correction of the human self. On Attaining Spiritual Power
by James Allen
The world is filled with men and women seeking pleasure, excitement, novelty; seeking ever to be moved to laughter or tears; not seeking strength, stability, and power; but courting weakness, and eagerly engaged in dispersing what power they have.
Men and women of real power and influence are few, because few are prepared to make the sacrifice necessary to the acquirement of power, and fewer still are ready to patiently build up character. (more…)

The Inner Mysteries ~ Part II
by Mark Probert
I have heard many people say, “I wish I’d never been born.” Fact is they are not born yet. They are not born yet or they would never have uttered those words. A form, a body was ejected into the dream, that is so, and they have been taught that all bodies they see are real, that the person is born. No! Birth comes not until we attain what is called the awakening, or the Christ Consciousness. The Christ Mind means clarity of consciousness; crystal clear understanding. It does not mean a man named Jesus. When one called Jesus attained what is called the Christness, he ceased to be Jesus. That is why he found it easy to give up his body, for he knew it was not he. That is one side of the Christian teachings. (more…)

The Inner Mysteries ~ Part I
by Mark Probert
Introduction
Some weeks ago Mark was watching a picture on television in which the characters were dolls in the bottom of a barrel. The barrel was sitting on a city street and a Salvation Army lass was ringing a bell. Then these dolls in the bottom of the barrel suddenly came alive, and had no idea where they were, or how they got into the barrel, or what the barrel consisted of, or what it was like outside the barrel, or if there was an outside.
Then they started investigating. Their first investigation was looking up. That looking up caused them to see a wider extent of space than the barrel, so they felt there must be something out there. They had no feeling, no thought whatsoever that they were dolls who had been thrown into the barrel for poor little children. They were now living human beings. (more…)

Hauntings
by Dion Fortune
THERE are two forms of “haunting” which have to be considered, the one which is due to a discarnate soul who interferes with a particular person, and the one which is due to the conditions prevailing in a particular place, and which affects any person sufficiently sensitive who happens to go there. Except in cases where the influence is exceptionally strong, the insensitive person is immune. To perceive a “haunting” one needs, as a general rule, to be slightly psychic; it is for this reason that children and other more sensitive types suffer severely from such interferences.
Let us consider first of all the question of interference by a discarnate soul. It will be noted that I use the term “interference” and not “attack.” The disturbance need not necessarily be an attack, any more than the drowning man who clings to his rescuer and drags him under is motivated by malice. The entity that is causing the trouble may be a soul that is itself in distress on the Inner Planes, and is too ignorant of post mortem conditions to know the harm it is doing by clinging so desperately to the living. It is for this reason that the wide dissemination of Spiritualistic teachings is of value, for it helps to relieve the tension between this world and the next. (more…)

Our Psychic Self
by Ernest L. Norman
Again we come to you with our love from Venus. Yes, it is quite true our sister, Ruth, has discovered in her own way through her vision, that we are Shamballa—or should we more correctly say, part of Shamballa. We here in Azure are one of seven such cities and places.
Each one of these cities is directly related to your earth plane in a certain separated type of spiritual service. We, in Azure, function with those who have passed on from the flesh in some form of maladjustment, such as the soldier boys and sailors, the suicides and murderers, and their victims. The other cities relate their activities to equally well defined fields of spiritual and physical therapies. It is my plan to go into these different cities and just as we have done here in Azure, make an exploration and find out more fully their own particular capacity. (more…)

Into Eternal Light ~ Part I
by Kenneth through Madge Wood
Introduction
During his earthly life Kenneth was never known to me, only through his communications with his parents during his contact with my Sanctuary after his passing over to spirit.
He was an only son of parents born in a Yorkshire town and was a Leeds University student, and afterwards served in the Army during the last war.
His passing to spirit some years later caused his mother to be completely overcome by grief and resulting in ill health, so much so that she lost interest in life. (more…)

Greatness, Goodness, And Unfailing Wisdom
by James Allen
Greatness And Goodness
GOODNESS, simplicity, greatness — these three are one, and this trinity of perfection cannot be separated. All greatness springs from goodness, and all goodness is profoundly simple. Without goodness there is no greatness. Some men pass through the world as destructive forces, like the tornado or the avalanche, but they are not great; they are to greatness as the avalanche is to the mountain. The work of greatness is enduring and preservative, and not violent and destructive. The greatest souls are the most gentle.
Greatness is never obtrusive. It works in silence, seeking no recognition. This is why it is not easily perceived and recognized. Like the mountain, it towers up in its vastness, so that those in its immediate vicinity, who receive its shelter and shade, do not see it. Its sublime grandeur is only beheld as they recede from it. The great man is not seen by his contemporaries; the majesty of his form is only outlined by its recession in time. This is the awe and enchantment of distance. Men occupy themselves with the small things; their houses, trees, lands. Few contemplate the mountain at whose base they live, and fewer still essay to explore it. But in the distance these small things disappear, and then the solitary beauty of the mountain is perceived. Popularity, noisy obtrusiveness, and shallow show, these superficialities rapidly disappear, and leave behind no enduring mark: whereas greatness slowly emerges from obscurity, and endures forever. Cosmic Mind Receivers
by W. Gordon Allen
It is a strange world that we find in the laboratories of our Western science for if we cannot weigh it, see it, measure it, or get a specimen of it, it does not really exist. Research, renowned for the civilized gadgets which it puts on the market as advertised items before an eager public, is much to blame for this misconception. The sale of an intangible is pretty tough; the sale of an intangible reality is in our Western world nearly an impossibility. But that appears to be our problem.
For our next subject, let us talk to Mr. Ouspensky a bit about dimensions. We recommend P.D. Ouspensky’s A New Model Of The Universe to the reader who would like to delve more deeply into one facet of the problems of reality. (more…)

The Temple Of Brotherhood
by James Allen
Universal Brotherhood is the supreme Ideal of Humanity, and towards that Ideal the world is slowly but surely moving.
Today, as never before, numbers of earnest men and women are striving to make this Ideal tangible and real; Fraternities are springing up on every hand, and Press and Pulpit, the world over, are preaching the Brotherhood of Man.
The unselfish elements in all such efforts cannot fail to have their effect upon the race, and are with certainty urging it towards the goal of its noblest aspirations; but the ideal state has not yet manifested through any outward organization, and societies formed for the purpose of propagating Brotherhood are continually being shattered to pieces by internal dissension. On The Pathway Of Progressive Evolution ~ Part II
by Ernest L. Norman
At this point, it might be well to more properly define these two important ingredients which we must enter into our compound of the magic elixir. The various books and lesson courses of UN.AR.I.U.S. explain quite adequately the knowledge which must be used; while the nomenclature and diverse depictions are, to some extent, part of our modern classical 20th century science, yet they in themselves, are inviolate; that is, in whatever particular perspective we wish to describe them, they could ultimately be resolved into these configurations, and at whichever point we wish to discern ourselves in arriving in some future spiritual evolution, we will be involved with these principles regardless of nomenclature or the idiom of the time. Mental Illness: Dark Force Influences?
by Jerry Marzinsky B.A. M.ED.
When spirits begin to speak with man, he must beware lest he believe them in anything; for they say almost anything; things are fabricated by them, and they lie; for if they were permitted to relate what heaven is, and how things are in the heavens, they would tell so many lies, and indeed with a solemn affirmation, that man would be astonished.” ~ Emmanuel Swedenborg
Introduction
Since the dawn of civilization, a strange and malevolent affliction has stalked humanity; its etiology and elusive mystery.
Like a viper that strikes in the night, its approach is undetectable, its venom invisible, its presence evident only by the long trail of human carnage strewn in its wake.
It is an illness so horrific that one out of ten of its victims will kill themselves to escape it, while the remaining will die three times earlier than the rest of us. Its incidence is increasing.
At present, it is destroying about twenty-three million people a year world-wide. (more…)

Thoughts On Thought
by James Allen
HEALTH AND BODY
THE body is the servant of the mind. It obeys the operations of the mind, whether they be deliberately chosen or automatically expressed. At the bidding of unlawful thoughts the body sinks rapidly into disease and decay; at the command of glad and beautiful thoughts it becomes clothed with youthfulness and beauty.
Disease and health, like circumstances, are rooted in thought. Sickly thoughts will express themselves through a sickly body. Thoughts of fear have been known to kill a man as speedily as a bullet, and they are continually killing thousands of people just as surely though less rapidly. The people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it. Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body, and lays it open to the entrance of disease; while impure thoughts, even if not physically indulged, will soon shatter the nervous system. (more…)

On The Pathway Of Progressive Evolution ~ Part I
by Ernest L. Norman
Greetings friends: This is indeed a most joyous and happy occasion, and so far as my own personal feelings are concerned, this joy is not some selfish joy in which I may be vindicated in my personal beliefs, or that I gain satisfaction in some such manner or form; but rather the joy I feel is for each and every one of you, for I know, as you are seeking further knowledge of UN.AR.I.U.S. you have taken at least one positive step forward in expressing a certain quotient in the dynamic expression of Infinite Creation.
This in itself, is most important, and something which you should always remember throughout the coming years and in the times when you are troubled or emotionally distressed; that always there must be a consciousness of this infinite expression which is working directly in a regenerative principle, to constantly re-create for you, the form and substance of your lives, and rather than to continuously indulge yourselves in past emotional reflex experiences born from out other worlds and other times, it is most imperative that you learn to recognize this Infinite Creation which is above and beyond the immediate horizon of these various reactionary and emotional experiences.
