Venusian Contacts ~ Part XIV
by Dana Howard
The warm desert sun cast an aura of radiance over the winding sandy canyon leading to my favorite retreat. It was a rough trail, for this part of the California desert had not been often traveled by motor cars or human footsteps.
I stopped for a moment to drink in the pageant of midday splendor, for now the colors were alive and vibrating, weaving in and out as they reflected the azure skies above. I had been coming here often of late, for this plot of earth, hallowed by Diane’s presence, was infinitely stimulating. Her profound discourses seemed more readily translatable here. In these transcendent moments, I exchanged my drab, scanty material values for the rich heritage of spirit. (more…)

Demonic Attacks And Mental Illness
by Jerry Marzinsky & Sherry Swiney
For tens of thousands of years, Schizophrenics have tried to tell physicians and the rest of us that the voices they hear are real. Attempts by these individuals to communicate their direct experience of this phenomenon have resulted in being shunned, labeled insane, drugged senseless, or locked up. Since inception, psychiatry and the medical establishment have miserably failed to find either a cause or cure for schizophrenia. Regardless, they ignominiously turn a deaf ear to the reports of those with the most experience and knowledge of this destructive illness: the schizophrenic patient.
Instead of coming to grips with the failure of their institutions and treatment methods, physicians continue to ram one false cause after another for this devastating illness down our throats. While feeding Schizophrenics unsubstantiated information about the cause of their illness, they also burden them with a dim prognosis and insist the voices are hallucinations. This in no way matches the actual experience of these individuals. They aren’t buying it, and neither are we. (more…)

The Tibetan Wisdom
by Theodore Illion
“Compared with the total population of Tibet, which probably amounts to a couple of millions, the number of the wise Tibetans is exceedingly small. It is certainly much lower than one thousand.”
I asked him: Do you think you are great?
He smiled. “Nothing is high and nothing is low, my friend. All is relative. I am not greater than the bird or the worm. Only life goes on. The form is immaterial.” (more…)

On The Role Of Beauty In Reincarnation
by Gina Ceraminara
Beauty is not ordinarily regarded as the proper goal of a philosopher; nor is it usually considered to be of any practical concern to psychologists, doctors, ministers, or priests to help their patients or parishioners to become beautiful. As a quest and a purpose, beauty is commonly regarded as the trivial preoccupation of beauty salons and of women whose vanity outweighs the more real and more sober preoccupations of life.
And yet—if we carry still further to its logical conclusions the data of the Cayce files—we must arrive at the conviction that beauty is of far greater significance and importance, psychologically and spiritually, than we had thought; and that, indeed, philosophers, doctors; psychologists, ministers, and priests alike should be as much guided by beauty as an ultimate goal of all people as they are by concepts of adjustment, efficiency, health, happiness, morality, and of the Good Life. Dreams That Heal
by Rosemary Ann Guiley
In ancient Greece a man who has been chronically ill is on the most important journey of his life. Agares has been granted permission to make a pilgrimage to Epidaurous, one of the largest healing temples in the known world. Actually, it is a dream-healing temple, for while Agares is there, he will try to dream his healing. No earthly doctor has been able to help him. This is his last hope.
Agares is part of a group of pilgrims who are all seeking dream healing. They take offerings of coins, food, and animals to the temple. They are amazed by Epidaurous. It is like a small city, with numerous buildings. There are houses for the dream priests, dormitories for the pilgrims, baths, and a huge outdoor amphitheater for lectures and entertainment. The pilgrims are shown their tiny cells, where they will sleep on mats and dream. (more…)

The World In The Afterlife
by Stafford Betty
The World in the Afterlife According to Consistent Reports by Spiritualistic Mediums
1. The Afterworld is not some fantastic vision of infinity where souls are locked in poses of permanent rapture gazing at the face of God. And no one floats on a cloud, while playing a harp. Rather it is a place with landscapes and seas and houses and cities reminiscent of our own world—a material world, but of higher vibration insensible to us earthlings. There are gardens, universities, libraries, and hospices for the newly dead—but no factories, fire stations, sanitary landfills, or smokestacks. There are no dirty jobs to do. “We have no traffic, and our roads are covered with the thickest and greenest grass, as soft to the feet as a bed of fresh moss. It is on these that we walk,” says Msgr. Hugh Benson. All accounts describe a world of exquisite natural beauty. (more…)

The Philosophy Of Hermes
by William Walker Atkinson
“The lips of wisdom are closed, except to the ears of Understanding”–The Kybalion.
From old Egypt have come the fundamental esoteric and occult teachings which have so strongly influenced the philosophies of all races, nations and peoples, for several thousand years. Egypt, the home of the Pyramids and the Sphinx, was the birthplace of the Hidden Wisdom and Mystic Teachings. From her Secret Doctrine all nations have borrowed. India, Persia, Chaldea, Medea, China, Japan, Assyria, ancient Greece and Rome, and other ancient countries partook liberally at the feast of knowledge which the Hierophants and Masters of the Land of Isis so freely provided for those who came prepared to partake of the great store of Mystic and Occult Lore which the masterminds of that ancient land had gathered together. Spiritual Growth Through Meeting Self ~ Part III
by Kevin Todeschi
In terms of soul development, the primary purpose for an individual to go through the process of meeting self is to provide the soul with present-day circumstance that parallel a previous experience. Although the soul may have lost in a similar situation in the past, in the present a different choice may be made, enabling the individual to learn a valuable lesson in the process. Unfortunately, there are a number of instances in the Cayce files where it appears that the soul repeated the same mistake and failed to learn the lesson. The case of Kitty Howell is one example. Spiritual Growth Through Meeting Self ~ Part II
by Kevin Todeschi
From the perspective of the Cayce readings, it is not that God visits challenges and tribulations upon individuals; rather, it is that each soul is integrally connected to everything that happens in that life. In 1934, Cayce told a forty year old sales manager with problems in his business that it was a grievous error to think that God imposes any challenging condition on us for any reason. Instead, such conditions or experiences originate at the level of the soul as a means of correcting imperfections within one’s self (257-128). The only thing holding us back from soul development is self.
When a forty-nine year old housewife inquired during a reading about her worst fault, Cayce replied, “What is ever the worst fault of each soul? Self—Self!” When the woman asked how to overcome this fault of selfishness, the answer came: (more…)

Spiritual Growth Through Meeting Self
by Kevin Todeschi
For constantly is the soul-entity meeting self in its activities, in its relationships. And what it does about creative influences in its experience makes for that which either becomes a developing or a retarding. Cayce Reading 1604-1
What if everything you ever did somehow came back to you? What if this boomerang action were designed to enable you to face how every element of your life had affected someone else? What if you were truly held accountable for all of your actions, for all of your words, even for all of your thoughts? What if this accountability were not some kind of universal judge and jury, but rather, a portion of your own soul that kept track of everything within your being that was out of alignment with spiritual wholeness, so that it could become transformed? What if this transformational process were inevitable for every soul? What if this process of meeting yourself truly had your best interests at heart? (more…)

Self Mastery ~ Part I
by Ernest L. Norman
Greetings, dear ones, in our study of the Pathway to the Stars, this lesson shall be overshadowed by an old Chinese philosopher called Kung Fu (Confucius).
There are other very advanced and illustrious personages who are in attendance. They wish to thank all of you for being faithful and tell you that they are most happy and grateful to be of some small service to you.
Now we shall continue along the pathway of investigation and preparation in the science of personal psychology. This lesson shall be called “Self Mastery”. Although it will be quite obvious to you that self-mastery cannot be attained in one lifetime, nor in a number of lifetimes, but resolves itself as part of our dimensional evolution through the numerous material and spiritual planes. Other Dimensional Realities ~ Part II
by Jane Roberts
Your own environment includes far more than you may have supposed. Earlier I referred to your environment in terms of the daily physical existence and surroundings with which you are currently connected. In actuality, you are aware of very little of your larger, more extensive environment. Consider your present self as an actor in a play; hardly a new analogy, but a suitable one. The scene is set in the twentieth century. You create the props, the settings, the themes; in fact you write, produce, and act in the entire production – you and every other individual who takes part.
You are so focused in your roles, however; so intrigued by the reality that you have created, so entranced by the problems, challenges, hopes, and sorrows of your particular roles that you have forgotten they are of your own creation. This intensely moving drama, with all its joys and tragedies, can be compared with your present life, your present environment, both individually and en masse. (more…)

Other Dimensional Realities
by Jane Roberts
Space as you perceive it simply does not exist. Not only is the illusion of space caused by your own physical perceptive mechanisms, but it is also caused by mental patterns that you have accepted – patterns that are adopted by consciousness when it reaches a certain stage of “evolution” within your system.
When you arrive, or emerge, into physical life, not only is your mind not a blank slate, waiting for the scrolls that experience will write upon it, but you are already equipped with a memory bank far surpassing that of any computer. You face your first day upon the planet with skills and abilities already built in, though they may or may not be used; and they are not merely the result of heredity as you think of it. (more…)

Baraka: Breath Of Life
A film of sweeping scope and startling beauty, released in 1992 Baraka is a movie which words cannot justly convey. One must see it to fully appreciate its power. Named after a Sufi word that translates roughly to breath of life or blessing, Baraka is Ron Fricke’s impressive follow-up to Godfrey Reggio’s non-verbal documentary film Koyaanisqatsi. Fricke was cinematographer and collaborator on Reggio’s film, and for Baraka he struck out on his own to polish and expand the photographic techniques used on Koyaanisqatsi. (more…)
