Ami is a trilogy of books written by author-writer Enrique Barrios. This fascinating other-worldly saga rumored to be based on real life began with his first book “Ami, Child of the Stars” (1986), followed by “Ami Returns” (1987), and ending with “Ami 3: Internal Civilizations” (1997-1998). Barrios wrote these books in response to an experience he had in August 1985 and which he has never given details or answered questions about. It was suggested to him to write about it “as if it were a children’s story, a fantasy … otherwise they will think you are a liar or crazy.”

Dino Kraspedon (1905–2004) was the pen name of Brazilian Aladino Felix, who claimed to be contacted by an extraterrestrial from Jupiter’s moons of Ganymede and Io. Much information of a scientific (mainly astrophysics), medical, and moral nature is given in his book.

He was born in Pedra do Baú and died in Uberaba, Minas Gerais. In 1959 he published Meu Contato Com Os Discos Voadores (My Contact with Flying Saucers). The book tells the story of his contact with a flying saucer commander at his home. The extraterrestrial visitor was given a lengthy Q&A interview by Mr. Kraspedon in which he explained advanced concepts in physics and gave insights on how to improve humanity’s social conditions on earth. Later he publicly clarified that he did not witness the male human extraterrestrial leaving or entering a spacecraft. Daniel W. Fry was an engineer and contactee like George Adamski who writes, “The object was now very close, and I could see that it was an ovate spheroid about thirty feet in diameter at the equator or largest part. It was now traveling at not more than fifteen or twenty miles per hour and seemed to be decelerating at a rate that would bring it to zero velocity by the time it reached the ground. I could also see that unless it changed course, it would miss me by at least fifty feet. Somewhat reassured by its slowness of motion, I remained where I was and watched it glide in as lightly as a bit of thistle down floating in the breeze and settle to the ground about seventy feet away without the slightest bump or jar. Except for the crackling of brush beneath it, it hadn’t made a sound. For perhaps twenty or thirty seconds I stood staring at it like a child at his first circus performance.”
