Reinhold Schmidt was a 1957 UFO “contactee” in an era that began with George Adamski in 1953. Schmidt was born and grew up in Nebraska, where he worked for most of his adult life as a reputable grain buyer and dealer. He became a contactee after telling of his experience on November 5, 1957 detailed in his book Edge of Tomorrow, when while driving through a rural area near Kearney, Nebraska, he noticed a large, cigar-shaped object resting in a field. He was soon escorted inside the space ship, which turned out to be crewed by completely human-looking space aliens, four male and two female, who apparently spoke perfect German and claimed to be from the planet Saturn. “The Saturnians” also claimed to be interested in the recently launched Russian Sputniks, and the satellite-launching plans of the US. ~ Wikipedia (more…)

John Dean (1891-1970) was an author, artist, lecturer, and educator whose published works included two books, Flying Saucers and the Scriptures and Flying Saucers: Close Up, on the subject of UFOs. His writings appeared during an era in American history when both ordinary citizens and the government were fascinated by space exploration and the possibility of alien life. Dean’s manuscripts show that he was skeptical of government involvement in space exploration and also drew a connection between extraterrestrials and the bible. Dean was a World War I veteran who was hospitalized in 1918 and during his convalescence claimed to have encountered extraterrestrial beings. (more…)

As Mr. Meier looked across the empty road toward the meadow and forest beyond, noting to himself how remote they seemed. . . .

Suddenly it began . . .

Meier heard a very unusual sound. A low, throbbing humming sound that defied description. Then he saw it. A strange silver disc-shaped craft circling slowly above. He couldn’t believe his eyes!

He recovered just in time to take several quick photographs, almost forgetting the camera was there, before the strange craft swooped down and softly landed in the clearing 100 meters away. About seven meters in diameter, it just sat there quietly in the tall green grass. (more…)

One night several weeks later I felt the urge to look out the window. On raising up on one elbow I saw what I thought to be three stars grouped very closely together. I was wondering how they could appear so close, when they moved, first one, then the other two. Their color changed to yellow-orange. The three moved to a position below the moon where they circled what appeared like a blue-white star. All hung motionless for four or five minutes, then sped away, quickly disappearing. About fifteen minutes later I was contacted via the inner-voice by a Brother who had contacted me some months previously. The vibrations were unusually powerful as they had been before, every word filled with compassion and love and understanding. However, this time I was able to withstand his high thought frequency much better, although I was so overwhelmed the other time that when he left me with his blessings, I beseech him to come back. … There are some things I must retain in the confidence of my memory. Dr. Norman Bergrun, a former NASA research scientist published an astounding book The Ringmakers of Saturn which revealed photos taken of Saturn’s rings from the Voyager I flight in 1980. Voyager I was sent to the rings of Saturn to investigate some strange anomalies that they had witnessed through their observations from Earth and NASA couldn’t believe what they found in the images that were sent back.

Bergrun who worked with NASA’s Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California, has won prestigious awards which include the California Society of Professional Enigineers Archimedes Engineering Achievement Award. Aside from his involvement with NASA Bergrun also worked on high-profile, top-secret aerospace projects for Lockheed Martin.
